FAQ

What types of photography services do you offer?

I offer photography sessions for couples, engagements, families, graduation, maternity, and in-home newborn sessions. My goal is to capture genuine, heartfelt moments in a natural and relaxed way, creating timeless memories for you to cherish.

How do I book a photography session with you?

Booking a session is simple! Just head to my contact page and fill out the inquiry form with your details. After receiving your inquiry email, I will get back to you to schedule a call so we can discuss further details, answer any questions we may have, and start planning your session together. A signed contract and a retainer fee are required to secure your date.

Can we choose the location for our photo shoot?

Absolutely! You can choose a location that feels meaningful to you, whether it’s a scenic outdoor spot, a cozy in-home session, or a special place that fits your vision. If you’re unsure, I’m happy to recommend beautiful locations that match the style and vibe you’re looking for!

How long does a typical photo session last?

The length of your session depends on the type of shoot you book:

  • 30-minute sessions – Perfect for a quick, sweet experience, ideal for small families or couples.
  • One-hour sessions – Great for capturing a variety of moments, whether it’s couples, engagements, family, or maternity.
  • Up to Three Hours Session - This session is great for civil ceremony, elopements, small events.

For in-home newborn sessions, I’m more flexible with timing to ensure you have plenty of space for feeding breaks, soothing, and capturing those sweet, natural moments in the comfort of your home. Each session is tailored to make sure it’s a relaxed, enjoyable experience while capturing beautiful memories!

How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?

I understand the anticipation of seeing your final photos. My editing process typically takes 1-2 weeks, depending on the volume of images and the complexity of editing required. I prioritize quality and attention to detail to deliver exceptional images that exceed your expectations.

What happens if the weather is unfavorable on the day of an outdoor shoot?

If the weather is unfavorable on the day of your outdoor shoot, we can reschedule to another day that works for both of us. Your comfort and the quality of the photos are my top priorities, so if conditions like rain or extreme weather are forecasted, we’ll find a suitable alternative. However, please note that rescheduling for reasons other than weather may come with additional fees. Please refer to the contract for more details. If rescheduling isn’t possible, we can also explore indoor location options or work together to create a plan that ensures you still get beautiful photos!

Can I request specific poses or shots during the session?

Yes, absolutely! I encourage my clients to build a mood board on Pinterest and send it to me before the session. This helps me understand the vibe you're aiming for and the poses you like or feel most comfortable with. It’s a great way for us to collaborate and make sure your session is exactly what you envision!

Do you provide props or outfits for the session?

I can provide some props for your session, such as a picnic blanket, picnic basket, and a teepee tent for kids. However, I don't provide outfits, so I recommend bringing your own clothing for the session. If you need styling advice, feel free to ask, and I'd be happy to offer some suggestions to make sure your photos look amazing!

What should I wear to my photo session?

For your photo session, I always recommend neutral or pastel tones for a timeless and soft look. Comfort is key, so make sure you feel good in what you're wearing. If you’re doing a family session, it’s a great idea to coordinate your outfits without matching exactly—this helps create a cohesive look. I also suggest avoiding busy patterns as they can distract from the focus of the photo. If you need any advice on what to wear, feel free to reach out, and I'd be happy to help you choose the perfect outfits!

I'm pregnant and want to do a maternity session. When should I book with you?

I recommend booking your maternity session around 28-36 weeks of pregnancy. This is usually when your belly has a beautiful round shape, but you're still feeling comfortable. It’s a great time to capture those glowing moments before your baby arrives! Be sure to book a few weeks in advance to secure your preferred date.

How should we prepare for our in-home newborn session?

For your newborn session, I recommend parents wear soft neutral or pastel tones—especially for mom, as comfort is key! Dresses are often the best choice since they’re cozy and flattering. The best time for a newborn session is when your little one is between 6 to 21 days old to capture that unique, curled-up, womb-like phase.

Make sure the room is kept warm, around 75°F, to keep your baby comfortable. You might also want to have a white noise machine running to help soothe your baby. Feeding your baby before the session will ensure a sleepy and happy baby, making the session more relaxed. For baby’s outfit, keep it simple and natural—a onesie, swaddle, or just a diaper—to keep the photos timeless and authentic.

How do I receive my photos after the session?

After your session, I will send you a private online gallery where you can view and download your high-resolution, print-ready images. The gallery will be accessible for a set period of time, giving you the opportunity to share the photos with your loved ones and order prints if you'd like. You'll receive a mix of color and black-and-white images, carefully curated to showcase the best moments from your session!
